Jackie Norkin

Jackie, as she prefers to be called, has been involved with music, in one form or another, since childhood. Classically trained at Julliard, she has performed in a classic rock band as the keyboardist for several years, in addition to playing cocktail piano throughout the New York area. Concentrating on songwriting now, (both music and lyrics), seems to give her the most satisfaction. Whatever genre it may be, the most important aspect she tries to capture is strong emotion. "A song needs to evoke a feeling, otherwise it won't work,” she says.
