Echo of The Ghost

Echo of the Ghost is a NYC duo led by composer Emiliano Melis and violinist Claudia Chopek. Taking influences from synth pop, industrial, and EDM, they have created a genre defying collection of electronic driven songs laced with melodic synth textures and hypnotic violin arrangements. The band is released their debut full-length album "Broken Darkness" on Nov 10th 2017.

Emiliano is a native Italian, born and raised in Turin, Italy who found his way to New York in 2012. His works are a mixture of dreams, hallucinations and aesthetics expressed with electronic sounds, poetry and improvisation. He’s collaborated with many artists as a remixer, as well as composing and producing music for international visual artists, sound installations, and contemporary art exhibitions in Europe and the US.

After being introduced by mutual friends,  Emiliano forged a relationship with violinist, violist and arranger Claudia Chopek, leading to the birth of Echo of the Ghost in 2016. Few performers have been in such genre-crossing demand as Claudia, defying musical boundaries. Over the past decade Claudia has shared stages and/or been in the studio with The Last Shadow Puppets, Father John Misty, Hurray For The Riff Raff, Bruce Springsteen, Moby and TV on the Radio, and just finished a run performing in the Broadway musical Natasha, Pierre, and The Great Comet Of 1812.

With the release of their debut full length album “Broken Darkness” Echo Of The Ghost expects to forge new ground in an uncharted musical land.
